Professor Wu Xiaoqiu is a renowned economist and financial securities expert in China. He had been promoted to a professor of economics at Renmin University of China of an exception. Now he serves as the Vice President of Renmin University of China, Director of Finance and Securities Institute (FSI). Also, he is a First-Class Professor (Finance). Professor Wu is the Vice-President of Academic Degrees Committee of Renmin University of China, the Distinguished Professor of "Chang Jiang Scholars Program" launched by Ministry of Education（2007）.
Professor Wu Xiaoqiu major social academic titles are the First Vice-Chairman of National Supervisory Committee for Professional Degrees in Finance. Moreover, Professor Wu is a member of Disciplinary Review Group of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a member of Disciplinary Review Group of National Social Science Fund Management Committee, a member of the Ninth Issuance Examination Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission and the executive member of the council of China Society for Finance and Banking, a manager of China Center of International Economics Exchanges. As a scholar of China economics, who has massive impact in China capital market research area is also one of the greatest trailblazer in China capital market theory area and in the field of China securities teaching，researching，personnel training.
Professor Wu published hundreds of articles in Social Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal, Journal of Financial Research and so on.
