Mr. Robert Hormats has been a distinguished and influential figure in both political and business circles in the United States and the world. Mr. Robert Hormats is a distinguished and very experienced financier and diplomat and has done many outstanding contribution to promote and strengthen US China friendships and economic and financial cooperation.  

Mr. Robert Hormats is currently Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc.. He has been the Under Secretary of U. S. State Department  and has assisted President Obama and Secretary Clinton to take charge of economic growth, energy and environment and attend many important Global Summits and Forums. He has acted as Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs International to play a key role on a variety of international economic and financial matters,  Deputy US Trade Representative with the rank of Ambassador and Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Senior Staff Member on the National Security Council Staff,  Senior Advisor to Dr. Henry Kissinger in economic issues. He played a major role in the opening up of US relations with China as Senior White House Economic Advisor to Dr. Kissinger during the early 1970s. He has been actively promoting and strengthening US China long term good friendship relation and sustained cooperation and development, he has done many outstanding contribution for US China long term good relation and economic and financial cooperation.   

 Mr. Hormats has been a Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University and Yale University’s School of Management, a member of Dean’s Council of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and Chairman of the Board of the RAND Center for Asia and Pacific Policy. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, the Rockfeller Center Club, American Future Energy Association, and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.  He is a Board Advisory Member of  <Foreign Policy> and <International Economics> magazines. He is author of three books entitled “Global Economy”, “Global Era and Financial Market” and “The Price of Liberty”.  He earned a BA degree from Tufts University, MA degree and Ph.D degree in International Economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts.
