China High-Tech Fair (“CHTF”) is a largest-scale technological exhibition with the greatest influences in China, and integrates the transaction of achievements, product exhibition, high-level forum, investment invitation, cooperation and communication. Since being held for the first time in 1999, CHTF has been held successfully for twelve times, and has been reputed as “No.1 Sci-Tech Exhibition in China”.
CHTF 2011 will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Nov. 16-21, 2011. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Ministry of Agriculture, State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Shenzhen People’s Government, and undertaken by Shenzhen China Hi-Tech Transfer Center (Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center Management Co., Ltd.).
The 13th CHTF will be held in the first year of implementing China’s “12th five-year” planning, and this is the critical period for China to concentrate on accelerating the transformation of economic development mode and adjusting economic and industrial structure. Therefore, with “promoting international cooperation on innovation, and accelerating transformation of development mode” as the theme, the 13th CHTF has elaboratively organized “Transactions of High-Tech Achievements”, “Specialized Show”, “China High-tech Forum”, “Super-SUPER Special Events”, “Hi-tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange” and “A Year-round Fair”, etc. The main exhibition zone covers a total area of over 100,000m2.
I. Transactions of High -Tech Achievements
It includes “National Hi-tech Achievements Exhibition”, “Overseas Hi-tech Achievements Exhibition”, “Provincial and Municipal Hi-tech Achievements Exhibition”, “Hi-tech Achievements Exhibition of Colleges and Universities”, and “Special Zone of Entrepreneurship and Investment Services”.
The Ministry of Commerce sets up a special pavilion (which is divided into the exhibition zone of innovation base for developing trade with science and technology, import exhibition zone, and comprehensive exhibition zone, etc.) with “developing trade with science and technology, and carrying out import and export concurrently” as the theme, and organizes the attendance of famous international enterprises of leading technology, enterprises from the innovation base for developing trade with science and technology, and famous enterprises at home and abroad which could guide the future development trend in the field of low carbon technology.
The Ministry of Science and Technology will hold the “Exhibition of Projects Having Won National Science and Technology Award and National Major Achievements”, and organize the attendance of projects having obtained National Science and Technology Award and national major scientific & technological achievements in recent years.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology sets up the “Special Pavilion of Internet of Things Technology and Application”, for purpose of concentratively exhibiting a batch of key techniques with independent intellectual property rights commanded by China in terms of Internet of Things industry, the application achievements obtained in the fields of traffic, logistics, finance, industrial control, environmental protection, medical treatment and sanitation, public security, national defense and military affairs, etc., and the preliminary achievements obtained in terms of standardization; and further boosting the orderly and fast development of Internet of Things industry.
National Development and Reform Commission sets up a special pavilion with “developing a new generation information technology, and accelerating economic & social informationization” as the theme, for purpose of exhibiting China’s policy for pushing the development of new techniques like Internet of Things and cloud computing, etc. and for accelerating economic & social informationization, and the major achievements obtained in technical research & development and industrialization, major application demonstration, infrastructure and standard system construction, etc. in critical sections of Internet of Things and cloud computing. In the same period, National Development and Reform Commission will hold related activities like “Forum on the Development of A New Generation Information Technology Industry”, and “Plaque-awarding Ceremony and Commendation Conference” etc.
Chinese Academy of Sciences will hold the Special Exhibition of “Sensing China” Technological Products. Based on the theme of “science and technology support services and enhance the future scientific management level of Chinese society”, Chinese Academy of Sciences will organize over 20 research institutes and their cooperative institutions, and over 80 projects to attend the exhibition, and will concentrate on exhibiting its overall outlay formed and scientific pay-off obtained in the field of Internet of Things (sensor network), as well as scientific and technological support exerted in Chinese serious natural hazards and important activities in the past over 10 years.
The Ministry of Agriculture will hold the exhibition with “innovation guides the development of modern plant production” as the theme; and the State Intellectual Property Office will push out the topic exhibition of “boosting the development of independent innovation, and guiding the transformation of patents for invention”.
“Overseas H -tech Achievements Exhibition” will attract the attendance of 23 delegates from USA, Germany, Russia, Korea, Belgium, Hungary, Finland, Ireland, Australia, Denmark, Canada, France, Poland, Switzerland, Brazil, Israel, Columbia, and Singapore, etc.
All domestic provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and cities directly under State planning, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan will organize delegates to attend the exhibition and related conferences, and “Provincial and Municipal Hi-tech Achievements Exhibition” will realize “family reunion” once again; in addition, 25 colleges and universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Chinese University of Hong Kong, etc., have determined to organize delegates to take part in the exhibition.
Special Zone of Entrepreneurship and Investment Services includes the contents like Entrepreneurial Enterprise Exhibition, Personal Technological Innovation Exhibition, Investors and Intermediary Organs Exhibition, and pairing of and discussion on hi-tech projects, etc.
II. Professional Hi-tech Products Exhibition
It includes “Information Technology and Products Exhibition”, “New Energy and Energy Saving & Environmental Protection Exhibition”, “ELEXCON” and “Opto-FPD”.
“Information Technology and Products Exhibition” has attracted the application of over 500 IT enterprises from USA, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Chinese Mainland, including famous companies in IT industry like DELL, Brothers, Foxconn, VIA, Lenovo, Pacific, Baidu, Jetway, ATEN, CBC, COSHIP, Jiuzhou, Konka, Skyworth, and Jetway Information, etc. In addition, TEEMA, Korean IT exhibition group and Japanese IVDR exhibition group will organize delegates to attend the exhibition.
“New Energy and Energy Saving & Environmental Protection Exhibition” will mainly exhibit the latest techniques and products in the field of three strategic emerging industries, namely “new energy resources, new energy automobile, and energy Saving& environmental protection”. Main exhibitors include China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, Suntech Power, JunyiAnlian, Dongyu Biology Technology, BYD Automobile, Ankai Automobile, Zhongxing Automobile, Hopewin, SenKeYan, China Academy Of Building Research, Sino-Composite, GEM, Hongtai, Collection LED, and Xuguang, etc.
“ELEXCON” will concentrate on exhibiting various new parts and components, materials and equipments, as well as the application of their products and techniques in hot-spot markets like intelligent terminal, Internet of Things, cloud computing, energy saving and environmental protection, etc. This exhibition will gather nearly 300 exhibitors, including nearly 150 overseas exhibitors, such as ROHM, TDK, Murata, Taiyo Yuden, Panasonic Electric Works, Nichicon, Omron, KEMET, and NITTO, etc. The exhibition area of overseas exhibitors will exceed 60% of total area.
“Opto-FPD” will attract the attendance of over 110 industrial leading enterprises, such as BOE, Ultrasonic, Senboll, SUCCESS, Sunnypol, Kingdisplay, Yeebo, Token, ULVAC, SUMIKA, Tapex, Lingda, Touch International, Qingyi, New Way, TopTouch, Baoming, Each, and Shiyuanda, etc. In the same period, “International Forum on Cross-Straits Panel Display”, etc. will be held.
III. China High -tech Forum
Those having confirmed to attend the “Ministerial Forum” and gave speeches include related leaders from the Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, etc., as well as minister-level officials including Tamas Fellegi, minister of the Ministry of National Development of the Republic of Hungary, Erkki Virtanen, executive secretary and vice minister of Ministry of Employment and the Economy of Finland, Zarko Obradovic, minister of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia, and Vongdara Boviengkham, minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos, etc.
It’s confirmed that, Wu Xiaoqiu, Director of Finance and Securities Institute of Renmin University of China, and Jim. Rogers, a legend investment master of Wall Street will attend the “Capital Market Froum” and give a speech, and Chen Hongqiao, vice general manager of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, will host this forum. Where, investment master Jim Rogers is a founding partner of famous Quantum Fund, and a most legendary top-grade investor and senior financial observer of American Wall Street, and has great influences in the world.
Mr. Rogers will still attend “China Entrepreneur Summit” and have a dialogue with Xu Shaochun, a famous entrepreneur of our city, chairman of the board of directors and chief architect of Kingdee International Software Group Co., Ltd. In addition, guests who will attend “China Entrepreneur Summit” still include general manager Guo Yinghui of Beijing Science Park Development (Group) Co., Ltd., etc.

V. Hi-Tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange
Hi-Tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange at this CHTF is organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Over 200 enterprises from the industries of finance, electronics, mechanical manufacturing, new energy, and environmental protection, etc., will appear at the exhibition, and provide over 8,000 middle- and high-end posts. The theme of the talent and intelligent exchange forum is proposed to be “talent development and hi-tech innovation”. Presidents of famous universities and CEO of famous enterprises will attend the forum, and emphatically discuss the new mode for talent development to promote hi-tech innovation, and the challenges posed by global hi-tech development trend to Chinese talent development.
VI A Year-round Fair
Through online transaction of achievements, online exhibition, and day-to-day project collection, review, recommendation and introduction, match-making, and financing, etc., the CHTF will offer a standing technique trading market, provide services for transaction of high -tech achievements perennially, and promote negotiation and transaction after the fair. Overseas branches of this CHTF were held successfully in Telaviv of Israel and Budapest of Hungary respectively on Sept. 6-13, 2011; and governmental officials of Hungary and Israel reiterated that they would enlarge and deepen Sino-Hungarian and Sino-Israeli cooperation. The successful holding of overseas branches of CHTF is guiding Chinese enterprises to a broad platform for international communication and cooperation, and has further enhanced the international influences of the CHTF.
This CHTF will attract an audience of over 500,000 person times. On the occasion, we will see various wonderful large-scale scientific & technological activities, the debut of large quantities of new scientific & technological achievements and new products, and plentiful international scientific & technological seminars held simultaneously. In addition, national ministries and commissions have also organized plentiful activities.
