On the first meeting of the organizing committee for CHTF 2010, the organizing committee examined and approved the general program and all preparation work for CHTF 2010 and the proposal to change Ministry of Agriculture, a co-host, to a host. By now, the hosts for CHTF 2010 have reached 11 in number, i.e., Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Reform and Development Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Securities, Ministry of Agriculture, State Intellectual Property Office, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Shenzhen Municipal Government.
The press conference for CHTF 2010 was hosted by Mr. Jiang Yaoping, deputy director of CHTF Organizing Committee and vice minister of Commerce and attended by leaders from the hosts of the CHTF, more than one hundred domestic and foreign media correspondents as well as the representatives of trans-national companies and key enterprises are present. Mr. Xu Qin introduced the general arrangement and preparation work for CHTF 2010.
Ever since its founding 11 years ago, the CHTF has been praised as “the No.1 Technology Show in China” for its features of state level, international coverage, high level, large scale, high practical efficiency, specialization and year-round running. On the background of the very complicated domestic and foreign economic situation this year, it becomes particularly important how to better make use of the window and platform functions of the CHTF and bring the scientific and technological innovation into full play in the national economic construction; therefore, it has far-reaching importance to host a successful this year.
Greeting the 30th Anniversary of the Founding of
Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and
Preheating “the 12th Five-year Plan”
CHTF 2010, which will be held on November 16-21 this year in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, bases itself on the new frame of global scientific, technological and industrial revolution in the period of economic crisis, focuses on the key economic work for promotion of economic structure adjustment and development mode transition of our country, orients itself to demands for laying a foundation for initialization and application of the 12th Five-year Plan. It will take “Technology-led transition, innovation-driven development” as the theme, further strengthen and perfect its functions of transaction promotion and technological import, adjust and optimize its structure and contents, enhance its actual effect and improve its internationalization so as to serve the fostering and development of emerging industries as well as the coordinated and green development and greet the 30th anniversary for founding of the Special Economic Zone.
According to the introduction, the organizing committee for CHTF 2010 is doing the preparation work earnestly so that the CHTF could make solid progress to the objective of holding a first-class fair in the world by virtue of its better organization and planning. For the fair, such six sections as “Transactions of Hi-Tech Achievements”, four specialized shows are “IT of CHTF, New energy and energy saving a exhibition, CHTF/ELEXCON and CHTF/FPD-EXPO”, and “China Hi-Tech Forum”, “super-SUPER special events“, “Hi-tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange” and “A Year-round Fair” are arranged.
Highlights on Transition of
Economic Development Model
Mr. Xu Qin pointed out that this year is a crucial year for China’s gear-up of economic structure adjustment, shift of development mode and improvement of quality and efficiency of economic growth. This CHTF bases on the gear-up of transition of economic growth mode. Compared with the previous ones, its scale has been enlarged and the contents are richer with highlights.
—— Display the scientific and technological achievements in the 11th Five-year Plan in a concentrated mode so as to show achievements in improvement of people’s living standard by science and technology. At this CHTF, the typical achievements made in such fields as the key state scientific and technological projects, fundamental researches, frontier technologies, science and technologies relevant to the people’s life, technological upgrade of traditional industries will be displayed. By displaying the important achievements in various fields, CHTF 2010 will embody the achievements in how the science and technology has been supporting and leading the sustainable development and how it has been gearing up the improvement of people’s life etc. ever since the 11th Five-year Plan period.
—— Enrich the show for new energies, energy saving and environment protection so as to gear up the development of our country’s low-carbon environment-protecting industries. In order to give further play to the CHTF’s boosting of development of strategic emerging industries and upgrade of traditional industries, the Organizing Committee decides to upgrade the “Show for new energies, energy saving and environment protection” on this CHTF. This section will focus on three themes of “renewable and new energies, energy saving and exhaust reduction and environmental protection” and display the newest scientific and technological achievements in the current fields of new energies and energy saving and environment-protection so as to gear up the development of technologies and products for new energy, energy-saving and environment –protecting fields and the other relevant ones and push forward the building of a resource-conservative society.
—— Build a platform for release of state information so as to guide the adjustment of our country’s economic structure. At China Hi-Tech Forum for CHTF 2010, activities for release of information relevant to the state high-tech policies will be arranged. To this end, the concerned ministries and commissions of the state will release the newest scientific, technological and economic policies of the state, the key scientific and technological projects, the trend of industrial development, the industrial (product) standards and the reports for industrial development etc. so as to guide the industrial development and the rational arrangement of emerging industries of China.
—— Make the internationalized contents richer and specialized services more tailored. Besides Seminar on Sino-Hungarian/Israeli Hi-Tech Collaboration to be held in June of this year, CHTF 2010 will more actively guide the overseas participating groups to arrange their exhibitions by focusing on the theme of CHTH 2010 and satisfying the demands of Chinese markets, enrich the functions of overseas sections so as to help the foreign enterprises with their accession into Chinese markets. During the fair, the discussions in pairs between the overseas groups and the attending provinces and cities of China will be organized so as to establish their high-level coordination channels, help the foreign businessmen better understand the economic, technological development and investment environment of China and make concrete cooperating steps; meanwhile, the Organizing Committee will put more efforts on invitation of overseas specialized purchasers, break through the single service mode in activity arrangement and supplement services for key visitors and the specially-invited group visitors.
Higher internationalized level with more participants
Currently, the preparations for CHTF 2010 are making in an intense and orderly mode and the exhibition invitation work for domestic and foreign participants have been doing in an all-round way. At home, the hosts for CHTF 2010, each province, each autonomous administrative region, each municipality directly under the Central Government, each city specifically designated in the state plan, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the famous colleges and universities will organize their groups for this fair; At abroad, such countries as Germany, Russia, Hungary, Finland, Belgium etc. have expressed their intention to organize their government groups for this fair, and the professional organs of South Korea will organize their enterprise groups for this fair. Nearly 300 domestic and foreign famous enterprises such as VIA, Brother, TDK, ROHM, OMRON, Sumitomo, AUO, CORNING etc. have ordered the stands and more than 30% net area for specialized exhibition stands have been contracted and ordered. For the overseas sessions for CHTF 2010 in Israel and Hungary in June of this year, nearly 60 representatives from more than 40 government institutions, enterprises and scientific research units from the provinces and cities of China have registered and shall make discussions in pairs with several hundreds of enterprises from Israel and Hungary. The contents for discussion will cover such fields as information communication, bio-medicine, energy saving and environment protection and venture capital, etc. As a result, the scale of overseas sessions will reach a new height.
