On June 8th, 2010, the Seminar on Sino-Israeli Hi-Tech Collaboration / China Hi-Tech Fair was inaugurated solemnly at 13:00 local time. Mr. Brender, the executive deputy chief of Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Mr. Zhao Jun, the ambassador of the PRC in Israel, and Mr. Gao Guohui, vice director of CHTF Organizing Committee and concurrently deputy secretary general of Shenzhen Municipal Government made speeches respectively. More than a hundred of representatives from Israeli scientific and technological institutions and enterprises attended the opening ceremony and made exchanges with the Chinese delegations.
Mr. Brender, the executive deputy chief of Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, extended his warm welcome to the arrival of China’s CHTF delegation. Mr. Zhao Jun, the ambassador of PRC in Israel, Mr. Gao Guohui, vice director of CHTF Organizing Committee and concurrently deputy secretary general of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Ms. Ji Xuecui, Deputy Director of Export Division of High-tech, Department of Mechanic, Electronic and Hi-tech Industry, Ministry of Commerce, the PRC on behalf of Ministry of Commerce made speeches respectively.
On the opening ceremony, the risk investment enterprises from China and Israel hold a dialogue activity that takes “Sino-Israeli risk investment and investment cooperation” as the theme. Mr. Li Wanshou, president of Shenzhen Capital Group Co. Ltd, Mr. Li Wei, chairman of board of IER Venture Capital Co. Ltd made dialogues with David Klein, CEO of Israel Export Insurance Co. and Mr. Aaron Mankovski, the partner of Israel Pitango Risk Investment Fund and Chairman of Israeli Hi-tech Industry Association.
On the morning of June 7 local time before the opening ceremony for the seminar, the Chinese and Israeli enterprises held the first business match for high-tech projects. In half a day, 25 Chinese enterprises and 28 Israeli enterprises held the match and more than a half of them reached preliminary cooperation intentions. All the Israeli enterprises that took part in the match showed their strong interest in cooperation with the Chinese enterprises.
Concurrently with the Seminar on Sino-Israeli Hi-Tech Collaboration /CHTF 2010, Israel High-tech Conference that represents the highest level of science and technology in Israel is also being held. The CHTF delegations were invited to take part in such activities as the opening ceremony, the special seminars and banquets etc. The sponsor for the conference attached great importance to the participation of the CHTF delegations and arranged Chinese simultaneous interpretation on the opening ceremony and multiple seminars.
It is the first time for this seminar to enter Israel. Nearly 100 Chinese representatives from the fields of IT, biology, energy saving and environment protection and risk investment etc. attended it. These enterprises brought sincere investment intentions and multiple projects and wished to make deeper exchanges with the relevant enterprises of Israel and find opportunities for further cooperation. The successful holding of the Seminar on Sino-Israeli Hi-Tech Collaboration /CHTF 2010 has promoted the Sino-Israeli cooperation in the hi-tech fields, showed the Chinese and Israeli enterprises with wide prospects for mutual cooperation and further pushed forward the internationalized and professionalized process of the CHTF.
