China Hi-Tech Fair 2013 in Belgium and Hungary

The overseas sessions of China Hi-Tech Fair 2013 were held in Belgium and Hungary on June and July.  

The Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Chen Biao, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen and Vice Chairman of China Hi-Tech Fair Organizing Committee and Mr. Gao Guohui, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal Government. There were 54 Chinese representatives from Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Yunnan and Henan provinces. In Belgium, over 80 Belgian companies attended the event. In Hungary more than 250 representatives from Romania, Switzerland, Czech, Slovakia and Germany attended the event. The event organized about 200 rounds of one-on-one business match making. Chinese delegates also visited local incubator, software park and high tech enterprises in Belgium and Hungary. Meetings and exchange with local government, top executives of local enterprises were arranged.  

The China Hi-Tech Fair in Belgium was co-organized by the China Hi-Tech Fair Organizing Committee Office and the Brussels Government. Those VIPs who attended the opening forum were: Mr. Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium, Mr. Malherbe Michel, Belgian Ambassador to China, Mr. Chen Biao, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, Mr. Gao Guohui, Vice Secretary-General of China Hi-Tech Fair, Mr. Jacques Evrard, General Manager, Brussels Invest & Export. After the opening forum, Chinese delegates and Belgian entrepreneurs had enthusiasm on one-on-one business match making event. The MOU about Belgium’s participation in the upcoming China Hi-Tech Fair 2014 was signed between Shenzhen Government and Brussels Government.  

The China Hi-Tech Fair in Hungary was co-organized by the China Hi-Tech Fair Organizing Committee Office and the Hungary Industrial and Commercial Association. VIPs attended the opening forum and gave speeches, including Deputy Director of the Hungary National Innovation Office, Mr. Wang Hongliang, Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Hungary, H.E. Alexandru Victor Micula, Romanian Ambassador to Hungary, Mr. Chen Biao, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, Mr. Gao Guohui, Vice Secretary-General of China Hi-Tech Fair, Mr. Xie Duying, Deputy Director General of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The event attracted enterprises from Hungary, Romania, Switzerland, Czech, Slovakia and Germany. Chinese delegates had more than one hundred rounds of one-on-one business match making with attendants from those six countries. Mr. Chen Biao met with Mr. István Ujhelyi, Deputy Speaker, National Assembly, Hungary, Vice President of the Hungarian Socialist Party and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the Romania Ambassador to Hungary and the Mayor of Carolina City of Hungary. Chinese delegates had paid visits to the Graphisoft Software Park in Budapest, Hungary and had friendly meeting with the person in charge of Hungarian National Innovation Office.  

The Vice Mayor Mr. Chen Biao led the government mission to Poland after the events in Belgium and Hungary. He met with the Mayor of Poznan city of Poland, having discussed about the further cooperation in science and technology, economic and trade, culture and other sectors between two cities on the occasion of the 10th anniversary?of the establishment of sister city relationship between Shenzhen and Poznan.
