A large number of the latest scientific and technological achievements were unveiled at the 20th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF 2018), which is underway at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.  

Shenzhen-based technology company Kuang Chi, a leader in metamaterials technology, intelligent photon technology, and novel space technology, showcased its new generation of stealth and target tracking technology at the fair, attracting many visitors and peers from the industry.  

Established only eight years ago, Kuang Chi not only built a metamaterial industry system from scratch, but has also applied the metamaterial stealth technology to China's new generation of cutting-edge equipment, which effectively promotes the transformation process of China's national defense equipment. 

At present, Kuang Chi has a stealth solution for sophisticated equipment such as warplanes, drones, ships, and missiles, according to Zhao Zhiya, the technology manager of the company.  

Traditionally a stealth solution usually involves three industries - stealth coatings, electronic equipment, and structural parts manufacturing. Kuang Chi's new generation of stealth solutions integrates the work of the three industries into metamaterial, he said.  

The new generation of stealth solutions can increase the stealth capability of equipment by 10 to 100 times while reducing the weight by 50 percent, cutting the overall life cycle cost by 50 percent, and fundamentally making maintenance easier.

The company has now established a complete industrial system of cutting-edge stealth equipment. At the same time, it has applied for a total of 4,965 patents, including 3,400 invention patent applications. It has also put the core technology of military detection and tracking into the urban security and anti-terrorism industries. Its intelligent tracking system has been successfully applied in many places, and has completed many tasks such as tracking and identifying suspects and finding people who get lost.
