The first light rail train built for Mexico successfully completed its final run at the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd on Oct 29, and will be put into use in Monterrey, Mexico's largest industrial city. This is the first time that Chinese rail transit equipment products will serve Mexico.

Located in Hunan province, the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd is a core subsidiary of CRRC.

Since its establishment in 1936, it has broken many records in the field of China's rail transit equipment. The company's businesses include electric locomotives, urban rail vehicles, EMUs, rail engineering vehicles, maglev trains, energy storage trams and other new technology public transportation vehicles, important parts and components, proprietary technology extension products, as well as maintenance and mechanical and electrical general contracting services.

The company focuses on the realization of long-stator linear motors, suspension, guiding and braking electromagnet technology and engineering manufacturing and has basically mastered the key technology of high-speed maglev train motor drive.

The CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd has brought their new technologies and products in the field of intelligent transportation to the 22nd China Hi-tech Fair, currently underway in Shenzhen until Nov 15. The company's medium-speed maglev prototype showcased at the fair is safe, reliable, low-carbon, energy-saving, and low-noise. It has the advantages of low engineering cost and low operating and maintenance costs, and can be directly applied in medium-distance urban railway and inter-city railway projects.
