Curtain closes on 24th CHTF

The 24th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) and the 2022 X-Lake Forum ended on Nov 19 in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

 

Covering a total exhibition area of 406,000 square meters, this year's CHTF had 5,671 exhibitors at its offline exhibition, showcasing 8,667 products and technologies that covered the fields of artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, digital economy, commercial 5G, the internet of things, big data and cloud computing, as well as blockchain. Among them, 1,302 new products and 407 new technologies made their debut.

 

A total of 214,000 people from 28 countries and regions visited the offline exhibition.

This year, 41 countries and international organizations, including the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland, 29 overseas government groups, as well as 498 overseas exhibitors attended the CHTF. 

 

The Sino-Scandinavian Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (SSIEC) brought a number of tech enterprises from Northern Europe to this year's CHTF, including Stibo Systems and NORDiQ, while the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Széchenyi István University, as well as LC Innoconsult International from Hungary also showcased their products and technologies.

 

In addition, the 24th CHTF carried out 148 conference events. More than 40 renowned academicians, economists, and senior executives of leading technology companies delivered speeches at the six themed forums of the China Hi-Tech Forum 2022.

The 2022 Forum on the Cultivation and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries that was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering saw the issuing of the 2023 China Strategic Emerging Industries Development Report.

 

The X-Lake Forum had renowned scientists, including Roger Kornberg, a Nobel chemistry laureate from the US, and Russian-American mathematician Efim Zelmanov, a Fields Medal winner, attend. Several new innovation and technology platforms were also announced to be established at the forum like the X-Institute and Shenzhen innoX Academy, as well as the launch of the New Cornerstone Science Foundation.

 

This year's CHTF was also carried out online, with 2,906 enterprises showcasing a total of 8,790 projects. The "visiting CHTF through VR" column had 245 exhibitors, attracting 114,000 online viewers.
