The spotlight shone on Hong Kong at the 25th China Hi-Tech Fair, or CHTF – with Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and technological innovation being one of the centers of attention.

The Hong Kong Pavilion, which was set up by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, featured five R&D centers.

These showcased Hong Kong's innovative achievements, as well as the cooperation achieved with counterparts in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone was also promoted during the 25th CHTF.

The Shenzhen municipal government has provided about 800,000 square meters of new research space for the zone. What’s more, it’s expected to offer 3.31 million sq m of innovation space in the next three to five years, to ensure a great environment for technological innovation there.

As a result, the zone has already attracted over 150 distinguished research institutions from around the world.
