Since AlphaGo defeated the top Go players, Li Shih-kuo and Ke Jie, and the AlphaGo Zero, the latest evolution of AlphaGo, defeated AlphaGo, the artificial intelligence has aroused hot discussion among people. Some people are delighted and some are worried. However, almost everyone has the question: to what extent can human intelligence be powerful?   

Our technological capability has reached unprecedented levels with the help of artificial intelligence, and the capability remains accelerating. The core of the industrial developments in areas of wearable devices such as smartwatches and wristbands, service robots, autonomous driving, smart medical treatment and AR/VR, is artificial intelligence, proving that AI is the basis for the development of smart technological products. To this end, high-tech companies at home and abroad as well as venture capital agencies starts to plan and arrange the AI industry chain, building AI ecology, improving computing power, and researching the algorithms. At the same time, China, the United States and the United Kingdom have successively launched the national strategy of artificial intelligence. AI related fields and the industrial development have become a new focus on global technological innovation because those countries expect to take a lead in future competition. Therefore, AI industry embraces its third wave of development. "Artificial Intelligence" was also written in the report on the work of the Chinese government in 2017 for the first time as the representative of emerging industries. The State Council formally issued the “Next Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan “on July 20. This year, China’s AI industry will usher in a truly new era. 

In order to advance our AI industry, Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association and CHTF work together to hold the China International Artificial Intelligence Summit.  This forum, themed with "AI Interconnection, Integration and Co-exist”, is held to make scientific and technological exchanges, promote cooperation and a win-win situation, and lead industrial development. For that purpose, we will invite Higher-learning institutions, such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Zhongshan University, and senior executives from GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, Huawei, Baidu, ZTE, and iFLYTECK for sharing ideas and wisdom and offering advice and suggestions for AI development and promotion. The summit will focus on domestic and international hot issues in the development of artificial intelligence technologies and industrial development, the latest technological trends and industrial information, explore new models, explore new directions and build new environments. Meanwhile, by effectively integrating government and corporate resources, it will build a high-end industry platform for professional exchanges, strengthen exchanges between elites at home and abroad, enhance the comprehensive strength of the industry, promote the sound development of artificial intelligence industry, and perfect the layout of artificial intelligence industry.
