News sources:CHTF Organizing Committee Release Date:2018-11-08

Over the past few years, Belgium has witnessed a continuing growth in trade and investment from Chinese enterprises, becoming a new highlight in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1971, cooperation between China and Belgium has been fruitful. Belgium has taken part in the China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) every year since 2008, and the fair has provided a pivotal platform for facilitating academic and scientific exchange between the two countries.

In order to attract more investment, the Brussels Agency for Business Support will take part in the CHTF 2018 as an exhibitor, serving as a bridge and bond in increasing exchanges between high-tech enterprises in China and Belgium.

A key city in Europe, Brussels gathers a large number of multilingual talents, as well as boasting a highly competitive real estate market and preferential tax policies, all of which have attracted numerous foreign investors.

To demonstrate its comprehensive investment advantages and key industries, the Brussels Agency for Business Support will host a promotion conference, running under the theme of "Invest in Brussels - European Innovation Hub - Life Sciences, ICT and Fintech", which will be attended by a number of government officials from Belgium, including Joris Salden, the Belgian consul general in Guangzhou, Guangdong province and Mattias Debroyer, economic and commercial consul of the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai.
