On Nov 16, the China Hi-tech ForumTechnology leads to a better life was hosted at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Centering on photoelectric technology and intelligent manufacturing, the forum drew huge global attention, with a number of scholars and enterprise senior managers making keynote speeches at the forum, including Shuji Nakamura, the Nobel laureate for physics in 2014 and Liu Zihong, CEO of smartphone developer Royole. 

 

 

 

Fully flexible display technology

Royole Corp, a pioneer of flexible displays, sensors and smart devices, focuses on the research and development of man-machine interaction and interconnection technologies. The fully flexible display exhibited by Royole at the CHTF 2018 can be bent over 180 degrees, making the transition from tablet computer to smartphone and proving convenient for consumers. 

 

 

 

AI-assisted driving simulator dome

Independently researched and developed by Shenzhen-based HSAE, the driving simulator dome is China's first AI-assisted cockpit with a 15.6 cun (20.5 inches) infotainment vertical screen, a 12.3 cun measuring panel and a built-in high-powered bird's eye view system. The driving simulator dome can run two operating systems at the same time and support face and gesture recognition.  

 

 

 

Sensetime VR automatic drive

Chinese image recognition startup Sensetime introduced its self-developed large-scale AI super computing platform with more than 10,000 GPU chips. The platform is useful for AI technology research and development. 

 

 

 

Baidu AI coach 

Pavilion: 1A20 

 

Chinese tech giant Baidu Inc is interested in numerous types of high-tech, including facial recognition, voice recognition, semantic and visual technology. Baidu showcased its AI coach, featuring cutting-edge technologies like the Turing test, image recognition and machine translation, in order to demonstrate to visitors fascinating intelligent scenes of life. 

 

 

 

Large-scale Face Capture and Recognition Solution 

Pavilion: 1B20 

 

Horizon Robotics, a Zhongguancun based technology company focusing on artificial intelligence chips, introduced its high-definition webcam with intelligent facial recognition at the CHTF 2018. Containing installed AI chips, the webcam features face capture and comparison.
